In this function is the product manager responsible for both product planning and product marketing. This includes managing the product throughout the product lifecycle, gathering and prioritizing product and customers requirements, defining the product vision, and working closely with engineering, to deliver winning products. it also includes working with sales, marketing and support to ensure revenue and customer satisfaction goals are met. The product manager’s job also includes ensuring that the product and marketing efforts support the company’s overall strategy and goals.
Essential Functions
• Market products by initiating and directing market and consumer studies, evaluating competitor products, specifying pricing, packaging, inventory, manufacturing distribution, advertising, sales promotion and sales guidelines; indentifying production, distribution, marketing and sales costs; adjusting price structure;
• evaluates market potential by initiating and directing market and consumer studies, evaluating competitor products and indentifying new products and new product applications;
• develops product marketing plans by specifying pricing, packaging, inventory, manufacturing, distribution, advertising, sales promotion and sales guidelines;
• maximizes revenue and margin by developing and updating sales forecasts; indentifying production, distribution, marketing, and sales costs; tracking supply dement, advertising promotion and merchandising efforts;
• minimizes inventory by studying and forecasting orders;
• prepares product management information and reports by collecting, analyzing and summarizing data and trends;
• improves product management job knowledge by attending educational workshops;
• reviewing professional publications; establishing personal networks, bench marketing state-of-the-art practices; participating in professional societies;
• contributes to product management and organization success by welcoming related different and new requests and helping others accomplish job results.
• University degree in Agriculture or MBA (or equivalent);
• technical background with experience in AG-Equipment ;
• proven ability to influence cross-functional teams without formal authority;
• the job is a crossroad of End Users, Factories, Franchisers and Franchisees; therefore it requires determination and diplomacy. Team building sprit is key word in the context without neglecting result orientation;
• the successful candidate is a dynamic and enthusiastic person;
• excellent written and verbal communication skills;
• professional, goal-oriented and very motivated;
• international position travelling acceptance;
• English mandatory (corporate language) German or other additional language would be a plus.
